In Ukraine, a penalty points system for drivers will be implemented: who will lose their license
Ukraine is preparing to introduce a penalty points system for drivers who violate traffic rules. Drivers who continuously break the rules will face the risk of temporarily losing their driving rights.
According to the official, this system, which has been successfully implemented in the countries of the European Union, aims to enhance discipline on the roads and impact undisciplined drivers. The essence of the initiative is that for each violation, the driver will receive penalty points.
The idea is to show drivers that their actions have consequences. Depending on the number of points, they may lose the right to drive a car,' explained government official Volodymyr Kreidenko.
It is also worth noting that Ukrainians who have been in Poland for more than six months will need to exchange their national driver's licenses for Polish ones. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in a fine. Ukrainian drivers are also warned about fines for using a phone while driving without special devices.
At the same time, Ukrainian courts cancel fines for speeding recorded by TruCAM devices held by inspectors. Moreover, Ukrainian motorists can observe new series of license plates that are assigned online and have no geographical restrictions.
