The government will purchase three new oncology drugs: which medications will be available for Ukrainians
According to hvylya.net: The Ministry of Health has announced the expansion of the list of medications that can now be purchased under managed access agreements. Three new drugs for cancer treatment are now available for free to patients in need of treatment for breast cancer, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and acute myeloid leukemia.
- Palbociclib - for the treatment of breast cancer in women;
- Inotuzumab ozogamicin - for patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia;
- Gemtuzumab ozogamicin - for patients with acute myeloid leukemia.
Thanks to the agreements with manufacturers, successful purchases under the managed access mechanism have already been implemented. Contracts for 3 years have been signed, and deliveries are expected to arrive by the end of the year.
The government has expanded the list of medications that can be purchased under managed access agreements by adding three new oncology drugs. This decision will allow patients with severe diagnoses to receive necessary treatments for free, ensuring their access to innovative medications at affordable prices.
