The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has introduced an electronic queue for registration for consular services abroad, particularly in Poland. The decision is explained by the large influx of requests and the risks of cyber fraud during registration. This is reported by inPoland.

The eQueue system allows planning visits to the consulate in advance - up to six months. In the personal account, users can manage their appointment, as well as receive automatic reminders about the appointment 30, 7, and 3 days in advance. Additionally, there is a separate option to add children to one visit and book the nearest dates if someone cancels their appointment.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that the eQueue also has an automatic document verification function for service processing. This also applies to men of conscription age - the system helps check whether the necessary document package is prepared.

Key features of the service:

  • Appointment registration up to 6 months in advance

  • Managing appointments in the user account

  • Reminders about the visit 30, 7, and 3 days in advance

  • Adding children to one visit

  • Booking available slots after cancellations

  • Document verification before submission.

How to go through identification

You can register in the eQueue only after electronic identification. The following tools are available for identity verification:

  • Diia.Signature (Diiа.Signature)

  • BankID of the National Bank of Ukraine

  • qualified electronic signature.

The electronic queue has essentially become the only way to register for an appointment: without registration through the e-service, in many cases, it is impossible to see the consul. Exceptions are only possible in force majeure situations, such as loss or theft of a passport, where requests may be considered out of turn with supporting documents available.

The service is available on the portal id.e-consul.gov.ua.

As a reminder, the updated statistics from the National Bank of Poland for 2025 show: Ukrainians remain one of the most active groups in the local labor market, but their incomes are still lower than the average Polish.
