Teachers will receive an additional 4000 UAH per month: who it concerns

Teachers working in areas close to the combat zones will receive an additional remuneration of 4000 UAH every month. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenkо, noting that the payments will start in October and will cover the period from September 1, 2025.

Which teachers will receive the 4000 UAH bonus

According to Svyrydenkо, about 25 thousand teachers from 84 territorial communities of nine regions will receive the bonus -

• Dnipropetrovsk
• Donetsk
• Zaporizhzhia
• Luhansk
• Mykolaiv
• Sumy
• Kharkiv
• Kherson
• Chernihiv.

These are regions where educators continue to work under constant danger, shelling, and evacuations, providing children with the opportunity to learn even in difficult circumstances.

Svyrydenkо emphasized that teachers remain a pillar of society during wartime:

"In times of war, when the enemy tries to destroy us and our future, the work of Ukrainian teachers is more important than ever. Their commitment to staying with the children and implementing new teaching methods despite constant anxiety is a testament to great responsibility and love for their profession," she said.

Increase in educators' salaries by 50% in 2026

The Prime Minister also announced that the state budget project for 2026 includes a 50% increase in teachers' salaries. This decision aims not only to support educators who continue to work during the war but also to encourage young specialists to choose the teaching profession.

"The government's task is to be present and provide support. This is what we are working on," the Deputy Prime Minister concluded, addressing educators on Teacher's Day.
