According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukrainian legislation provides for benefits for war veterans, combatants, and their families, including exemptions from taxes and fees. This includes a number of important aspects that support these categories of citizens.

Court Fees: who is exempt from costs. Combatants and persons with disabilities due to war are exempt from court fees. Similar benefits are granted to Heroes of Ukraine and affected participants of the Revolution of Dignity. Additionally, plaintiffs in cases regarding the granting of combatant status who applied after 2014 are also exempt from court fees.

Taxes on Payments in Case of Injury or Death: One-time monetary assistance to the families of those killed while defending Ukraine is not subject to taxation. This is important financial support for families who have lost their loved ones.

Land Tax: norms and restrictions. Veterans and families of the fallen are exempt from paying land tax within defined areas:
- for household plots in cities - up to 0.10 hectares;
- in towns - up to 0.15 hectares;
- and in villages - up to 0.25 hectares;
- for personal subsidiary farming the benefit amounts to up to 2 hectares;
- for gardening - up to 0.12 hectares;
- for summer housing - up to 0.10 hectares;
- and for garages - up to 0.01 hectares.

When the Benefit Takes Effect: The benefit takes effect from the next month after acquiring the right to combatant status. To receive the benefit, it is necessary to submit an application to the tax service within 30 days from the moment of obtaining the right to the benefit.
