The government has expanded housing rent compensation for veterans: who will receive payments
According to hvylya.net: The government has improved the procedure for providing monetary compensation to war veterans for renting housing. Now, veterans who do not have their own housing can receive compensation for renting living spaces. Previously, such payments were exclusively available to defenders who lost or have damaged housing due to hostilities or who reside in conflict zones.
'The amount of payments depends on the location of the rented housing,' officials explained.
Veterans must submit an application for compensation to the relevant authority at the location of the rented housing or to the Center for Administrative Services (CNAP). After submitting the documents, the authority must consider them within 10 working days and make a decision regarding the payment of compensation and its amount.
'Regional and local state administrations must provide information on the need for monetary compensation calculated from the date the defender applies until the end of the year,' the government decision added.
The government has enhanced the procedure for providing monetary compensation to war veterans for renting housing by expanding the number of individuals who can receive these payments. Now more veterans will have the opportunity to receive assistance in covering the costs of housing rent. Importantly, to receive compensation, the relevant authorities must respond promptly to veterans' applications and quickly resolve payment issues.
