Army of Recovery: 92 thousand Ukrainians have found work since the beginning of the year
This year, 92 thousand referrals have been issued to internally displaced persons and the temporarily unemployed within the framework of the 'Army of Recovery' project. Overall, since the program's inception, such jobs have been provided 308 thousand times, according to the State Employment Service.
Since the program 'Army of Recovery' began in 2022, 308 thousand referrals for socially useful work have been issued and financed in the amount of 2.7 billion hryvnias. Since the beginning of the year, there are 92 thousand such referrals, for which workers have been paid 870 million UAH.
The 'Army of Recovery' program allows unemployed citizens to engage in temporary work while career advisors look for permanent employment for them. Currently, most regions are expanding the list of jobs for the 'Army of Recovery' program, and now Ukrainians can also perform the following tasks:
- legal and psychological support for military personnel's families, including those killed and missing;
- production of camouflage nets and trench candles, sewing adaptive clothing and special pillows for the wounded, repairing military equipment for the Armed Forces;
- preparing food packages for the Armed Forces: making dry rations and energy bars, baking long-lasting bread;
- helping the population, primarily people with disabilities, children, elderly citizens, sick persons, and others who are unable to independently counteract adverse factors of technological, natural, and military nature.
'For example, in Chernihiv region, weaving camouflage nets for the needs of the Armed Forces is particularly popular. Workers in the region are called 'camouflage fairies'. In just two weeks this month, the employment service in Chernihiv issued 555 of such referrals, which is more than half of the total number of jobs in the 'Army of Recovery' program in the region,' - reported the Employment Service.
Distribution of jobs by regions
In total, socially useful work is actively conducted in 19 regions of Ukraine. This type of employment is most popular in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions.
The 'Army of Recovery' program in Ukraine provides unemployed citizens with the opportunity to engage in temporary socially useful work, receive a salary, and meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The jobs within the program are distributed across regions, with the most active executions currently occurring in fifteen regions of the country, led by Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kyiv, and Chernihiv regions in terms of referrals.
