According to hvylya.net: A serviceman of one of the units in Mykolaiv region is accused of demanding money from his comrades for help in returning to duty after leaving the unit without permission. It turned out that he offered soldiers to assist in returning to the military unit for 3 thousand US dollars, and even promised to assign them to a position that did not require combat actions.
'Until August 30, 2025, there was a law in Ukraine that allowed voluntary return of soldiers who left the unit without permission. The DBR, together with other law enforcement agencies and the Military Law Enforcement Service, ensured a transparent and safe mechanism for implementing this process,' the Bureau noted.
As a result of the pre-trial investigation, the indictment was sent to the court, and now this case will be considered under the law. The Bureau concluded that the serviceman exploited the situation for personal gain, violating the law and established procedures.
