According to hvylya.net: Recently, the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada conducted an audit of the tariff policy in the energy sector and found violations in the increase of electricity tariffs for the population. According to the head of the Consumers' Association, Oleg Popenko, the price increase was carried out in violation of regulations and without proper economic justification.
'Moreover, the 88 billion hryvnias that Ukrainians paid allegedly 'to cover energy risks' were not used as intended,' noted Oleg Popenko.
According to official data, these funds were supposed to be used to support the energy system during the war. However, the commission concluded that they were spent improperly. The expert sharply commented on the situation, considering it a powerful act of state treason.
Oleg Popenko demands that those responsible be held accountable for the violations. He also emphasized that when citizens pay more, the state should become stronger, not find itself on the brink of default, like 'Ukrenergo'.
