IDPs in Ukraine: what benefits and payments can be expected
The details of the benefits that internally displaced persons (IDPs) can receive have been revealed to the Ukrainian public. In particular, they can live for free in state premises or dormitories for up to six months, paying only for utilities. In addition, they will receive assistance with rent payments, mortgages, medical care, and even employment issues. The program called 'eOselya' provides support for purchasing housing or paying rent, as well as the possibility of receiving compensation for lost housing in occupied territories. For the first time, the state began to implement all this starting from the end of January 2025. Also, IDPs can expect support in education and job searching. The government promises that state payments will be made after the completion of payments from international organizations, so displaced persons will definitely not be left without assistance.
Thus, the authorities are taking concrete measures to support internally displaced persons in Ukraine, providing them with benefits in the areas of housing, education, medicine, and employment. This allows displaced persons to receive the necessary help and support in difficult times.
