YASNO urges saving electricity from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM: what to do

The energy company YASNO urges Ukrainians to save electricity during peak hours - from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Such actions will help stabilize the load on the energy system and reduce the likelihood of power outages.

This was reported by the energy company on its social media on October 17, 2025, posting an infographic with data on the most energy-consuming household appliances.

According to the state energy supervision inspection, the most electricity is consumed by an electric stove - 3.5 kWh per year, air conditioner - 3.0 kWh, as well as a hairdryer and electric kettle - 2.2 kWh each. Among other energy-consuming devices are an iron (2.2 kWh), boiler (2.0 kWh), and vacuum cleaner (2.0 kWh).

Less energy is consumed by an electric oven (1.6 kWh), coffee machine (1.5 kWh), microwave (0.8 kWh), washing machine (0.7 kWh), and dishwasher (0.7 kWh).

YASNO recommends turning off the lights in rooms when no one is there, not turning on many energy-consuming devices at the same time, reducing the operating time of boilers, and, if possible, doing laundry at night.
