The Death of Roman Tkachuk

According to Главком: Roman Tkachuk, the head of the Institute of Civil Society, has been killed. He was serving as a soldier in the 56th Separate Mariupol Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, having been mobilized in 2022. He tragically died in a Kharkiv hospital where he was receiving treatment. Tkachuk was born on July 2, 1981, in the city of Khmelnytskyi and was educated as a lawyer.

Contributions to Civil Society

Tkachuk had led the Institute of Civil Society association since 2004, focusing on critical issues such as community welfare and decentralization reform. Under his leadership, the Institute was a key driver in the development of Ukrainian civil society.
