Mishchenko in Moldova: Ukraine and Allies Defend Regional Security

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Mishchenko participated in the Moldova Security Forum (MSF) in Moldova. The event aimed to discuss security issues and countering hybrid threats in the region.

The forum's program covered relevant topics, including combating disinformation, cyberattacks, foreign interference in electoral processes, and energy blackmail. Participants included government institutions, the diplomatic corps, the expert community, and media from over 30 countries worldwide. The forum was opened by the President of Moldova Maia Sandu.

During one of the discussions titled 'Resilience Under Pressure. Strength and Solidarity for Moldova and Beyond', Oleksandr Mishchenko emphasized the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova in the face of hybrid threats and military aggression. The necessity of supporting the sovereignty and resilience of both states in all areas was also highlighted.

Mishchenko called on international partners to support Ukraine, particularly in the areas of air defense, investment in the defense industry, and strengthening sanctions against Russia.

Participation in the Moldova Security Forum reaffirmed the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova in the face of the threats and challenges facing both states. Diplomats discussed opportunities to strengthen sovereignty and security in the region, as well as joint measures to counter aggressive actions by Russia.
