Military personnel detained in Ternopil region: torture used and money demanded

According to hvylya.net: The criminals transported their victims out of the city, beat them, and demanded money or valuable property. The particular cynicism lay in the fact that the attackers tortured people who were seriously wounded in the war and were undergoing treatment. There are cases where they used the victims' cars for their own purposes.

The police in the Ternopil region discovered and detained a group of servicemen who constantly committed serious violent and property crimes. Seven detainees are already suspected under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, as reported by the National Police.

Large-scale special operation and results

With the help of special units from four regions, the police of Ternopil carried out a large-scale special operation to stop the activities of a group of criminal servicemen. As a result of the searches carried out, various physical evidence, mobile phones, weapons, and vehicles were seized.

Seven individuals involved in the case have been charged with torture, deprivation of liberty, robbery, and vehicle theft. The police continue the investigation and gather evidence in the case.

The incident that occurred in the Ternopil region indicates serious problems in society when servicemen, instead of protecting citizens, commit serious crimes.
