According to Главком: French police detained 127 individuals during disturbances across the Paris area following Paris Saint-Germain’s qualification for the Champions League final. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez reported that 107 of those arrests occurred within the capital itself. Eleven people were injured in the chaos, with one in critical condition, while 23 officers sustained minor injuries. Authorities also prevented several attempted lootings of shops.

PSG’s Victory and Its Aftermath

It is worth noting that PSG won the Champions League in 2025, triggering widespread riots that resulted in two deaths, 192 injuries, and 426 arrests. The 2025/26 Champions League final will mark the tenth time a Ukrainian footballer has appeared in the match. Illya Zabarnyi became the fifth Ukrainian player to reach this milestone with a club, joining Andriy Shevchenko, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Andriy Lunin.
