Zelensky on Strikes Against Russia: Ukraine Scales Up Use of Long-Range Weapons

President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with military leadership on October 9 regarding the use of Ukrainian long-range weapons. He emphasized the importance of preparation and execution of long-range operations against Russia.

During the meeting, issues regarding the use of Ukrainian missiles and drones, production, supply, and training of crews were discussed. Zelensky highlighted that Ukrainian long-range weapons are becoming more advanced due to funding and support. The state has plans to scale up the use of such weapons in the future.

'Ukrainian accuracy is already visible, there should be more. It is absolutely fair that Ukraine is delivering retaliatory strikes, precise strikes, and, unlike Russia, we know what we want to achieve. Without a doubt, peace,' Zelensky emphasized.

The president also emphasized that Ukraine is not waging war for the sake of war, but together with partners is creating conditions to compel the aggressor to peace. He also drew attention to the return of Ukrainian prisoners and children held in Russia.

During the meeting with military leadership, President Zelensky discussed important issues regarding the use of Ukrainian long-range weapons against Russia, highlighted the quality of these weapons, and cooperation with partners to resolve the conflict.
