Threats from Russia

According to ХВИЛЯ: President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the results of the report by the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Oleg Ivashchenko, which outlined three key threats emanating from Russia. In particular, it addresses:

  • attempts by Moscow to extricate energy companies from international sanctions;
  • the deployment of 'Oreshnik' missile systems on the territory of Belarus;
  • the increasing cooperation of Russia with Chinese entities in the field of military production.

Zelensky emphasized that the aggressive proliferation of military equipment poses a global threat and creates a dangerous precedent. He also noted that there are correlations between the surveillance of Ukrainian territory by Chinese satellites and Russian strikes on relevant energy facilities. This information raises concerns about the security not only of Ukraine but also of the region as a whole.

International Support and Stability

The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service stressed the importance of international support in confronting these threats, which could significantly impact stability in Ukraine and Europe.

The report highlights the critical challenges that Ukraine faces in the context of aggression from Russia and the growing cooperation between Moscow and Beijing. Given these threats, the importance of international support and coordination of actions becomes even more relevant for ensuring security in the region. This could serve as a catalyst for strengthening allied relations and increasing sanctions against Russia by the international community.
