What will the pension be with a salary of 10000 UAH and 40 years of service
The size of the future pension in Ukraine depends not only on the official salary but also on the number of insurance years. Even with the same income, payments can differ significantly depending on years of work and the age of retirement. This is reported by 24 Channel referring to data from the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The pension with a salary of 10000 UAH and 40 years of service will be about 4500 UAH
According to the calculations of the pension calculator, a person with a salary of 10,000 hryvnias and an official insurance record of 40 years can expect approximately 4500 UAH in pension.
The example refers to the standard retirement age of 60 years without additional benefits or special conditions.
It is precisely the long insurance record that allows such a person to retire immediately upon reaching retirement age.

What service is needed for retirement in 2026
The Pension Fund reminds that the requirements for insurance years depend on a person's age.
In 2026, for retirement, it is necessary to have:
- At 60 years old — at least 33 years of service
- At 63 years old — a minimum of 23 years of service
- At 65 years old — no less than 15 years of service
At the same time, the requirements for retirement at 60 and 63 years are increasing every year and will continue to rise until 2028.
Why even with a good service record the pension remains low
The amount of payments in Ukraine directly depends on the official salary from which contributions were paid to the Pension Fund.
Due to relatively low official incomes of many Ukrainians, even a long service record does not guarantee a high pension.
Experts also point out that the pension calculator shows only estimated amounts. The final amount of payments may change depending on indexations, service coefficients, and legislative changes.
Against the backdrop of inflation and rising living costs, the issue of future pensions remains one of the most painful for Ukrainians currently working officially.
Earlier, we reported how pension calculations are made and what affects the amount.
