The Greek capital, Athens, has been recognized as the best city for a car-free vacation. According to the company Accor, this is due to its well-developed public transport infrastructure, a large number of pedestrian zones, and easy access to attractions. With a score of 99.75 points, Athens surpassed Munich and Lisbon.
Other cities included in the ranking are Sofia, Hamburg, Vienna, Porto, Madrid, Zurich, and Lyon. This indicates that there is an increasing focus on the development of public transport and the creation of comfortable conditions for pedestrians worldwide.
