Aviation disaster in India: the black boxes of the Boeing aircraft have been decoded
The Indian Bureau of Civil Aviation Safety has successfully decoded data from the black boxes of the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that crashed on June 12. This information was announced by India's Minister of Civil Aviation, Kinjirapu Ramohan Naidu, at a parliamentary meeting. According to official data, the tragedy claimed the lives of 275 people as the aircraft fell onto a residential area near the city of Ahmedabad.
Naidu emphasized that the investigation now has all the necessary information to determine the causes of the aviation disaster. He also condemned the hasty publications in the media with unconfirmed versions, urging everyone to wait for official conclusions.
«The AAIB has managed to decode data from the black boxes. The cause of the disaster will be stated in the final report. The investigation is being conducted seamlessly and in accordance with norms and standards,» the minister emphasized.
The Pilots Federation demands a rebuttal of assumptions
Earlier, the Federation of Indian Pilots requested The Wall Street Journal and Reuters publications to refute reports that suggested the possible guilt of the pilots in the aviation disaster. The mentioned outlets referred to anonymous sources, which could mislead the public.
The Pilots Federation emphasized that striving for a rebuttal and disseminating only verified informational confirmations is an important part of an objective investigation into the aviation disaster.
