Agreement with Bell Textron: prospects for Ukraine's aviation industry

According to hvylya.net: During the AUSA 2025 international exhibition in Washington, the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine and Bell Textron Inc signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the development of industrial cooperation in the field of aviation technologies.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the document lays the foundation for the creation of production and service facilities in Ukraine, which will contribute to the development of high-tech machine engineering and enhance the industrial capacity of the state.

As part of the agreements reached, the company will begin comprehensive preparations for the localization of production, which includes:

• opening a Bell representative office in Ukraine;
• creating a final assembly and testing center (FACO);
• exploring possibilities for establishing a joint venture with Ukrainian partners;
• transferring technologies, equipment, and tools necessary for organizing production;
• training and internships for Ukrainian engineers and technical specialists in the USA, and later at the future enterprise in Ukraine.

Implementing these steps will serve as the foundation for launching licensed helicopter manufacturing in Ukraine and forming new industrial capabilities in the aviation sector.

'For Ukraine, this Memorandum is a step toward developing modern high-tech production, expanding industrial capabilities, and attracting investments in strategic sectors. We aim for Ukraine to become part of global production chains and innovative partnerships,' said Vitaliy Kindraty, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The signing took place during the participation of the Ukrainian government delegation at the AUSA 2025 exhibition, which brought together over 44,000 participants from 92 countries and over 750 companies dedicated to the development of technologies, innovations, and industrial cooperation.

The signing of the Memorandum between Ukraine and Bell Textron opens new opportunities for the development of Ukraine's aviation industry, the creation of new production capacities, and attracting investments in the high-tech field of helicopter manufacturing. This is a step towards deepening cooperation in the aviation sector and may contribute to strengthening the country's economic potential.
