Free housing for UBD: Ukrainians have been informed
Проживання для ветеранів України: яка площа виділяється для їхніх потреб

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs has announced that combatants (UBD) are given the opportunity to receive an apartment for free or monetary compensation. To do this, certain requirements must be met, necessary documents must be assembled, and registration in the housing queue is required.

What area is allocated to UBD

According to standards, one combatant has the right to 13.65 square meters of living space. A separate number of square meters is added for each child and for the spouse in the case of a family.

Process of obtaining housing

UBD must initially register as individuals in need of housing to take advantage of government programs. Certain grounds for registration are also necessary. Specific documents, which are submitted to the relevant authorities, are required for processing.

Obtaining housing or compensation

After registration, the queue for obtaining housing or compensation is resolved. In the absence of available housing in the fund, UBD receives monetary compensation to independently purchase housing.

When there are no free apartments in the local fund, the veteran is transferred an amount for which he can independently purchase housing in his region. This gives more freedom, especially to military personnel who want to settle closer to the place of service or family.

According to the announcement by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, combatants can receive free housing or monetary compensation. To do this, it is necessary to meet certain requirements and register in the queue for obtaining housing. This initiative aims to improve the social protection of servicemen after their service.
