At night in Saratov, the oil refinery of the Russian Federation was hit: fire confirmed
On the night of November 11, a series of explosions occurred in Saratov, according to the publication 'Glavkom' citing Exilenova+.
Local residents reported five explosions in the southwestern part of the city. The Saratov oil refinery ignited in the middle, where a significant fire began.
The Saratov oil refinery is one of the oldest oil processing enterprises in Russia. In 2023, it processed 4.8 million tons of oil. The plant contributes to meeting the needs of the Russian Armed Forces.
Additionally, on the night of November 3, Ukrainian forces attacked this refinery in the Saratov region of the Russian Federation. Damage to the facility and a fire near the Elow AVT-6 oil processing units were recorded.
It is worth noting that drones have attacked oil refineries in Saratov and Krasnodar Krai in Russia. Also, in temporarily occupied Luhansk, explosions just occurred on the night of November 3.
The events in Saratov indicate a series of explosions that have affected the oil refinery and other facilities in the city. This poses a threat to the lives of residents and confirms the strained relations between Ukraine and Russia.
