ChatGPT's radical impact on one category of job vacancies

According to a study by Adzuna, the number of offers for interns, graduates, and newcomers in the field with no work experience has decreased by 31.9%. The share of such vacancies in the labor market has decreased by 4% compared to 2022 and now accounts for only a quarter of the total number.

BT announced plans to replace 10 thousand jobs with artificial intelligence by the end of the decade. The reduction will mainly affect positions related to call processing and network diagnostics. The company's CEO, Allison Kirkby, noted that the development of artificial intelligence could lead to even more massive layoffs.

Experts estimate that artificial intelligence technologies could lead to the reduction of half of all entry-level office positions over the next five years, which could increase the unemployment rate by 20% worldwide. The CEO of Google DeepMind, Demis Hassabis, believes that despite artificial intelligence taking jobs away from people, it also creates new, important opportunities for people.
