Chernobyl NPP Fully Restored Power Supply After Shelling
Power supply at the Chernobyl NPP has been restored after shelling in Slavutych. The Ministry of Energy reported that the power supply to the facilities of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which were de-energized due to enemy shelling in Slavutych, has been fully restored. Ukraine's Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk emphasized that the radiation level at the station remains normal, and there is no threat to public health.
«Thank you to our energy workers for their swift and effective work! Your efforts ensure the safety of all of Ukraine and Europe,» Hrynchuk stressed.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Russian strike on the energy substation in Slavutych led to a prolonged power outage at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant aimed at paralyzing the operation of the facility.
Full functionality of the safe confinement restored
As a result of the attack in Slavutych, the Chernobyl NPP experienced a blackout, which caused an emergency situation. However, thanks to the energy workers, power supply has been restored, including the safe confinement, which is crucial for preventing the release of radioactive materials.
It is also worth noting that the attack on energy facilities in Slavutych left about 20,000 local residents without power.
As a result of the Russian shelling in Slavutych, power supply at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant has been restored. The radiation level at the station remains normal, and energy workers have been thanked for their quick and effective work.
