The National Price Catalog for Medicines is now operational for Ukrainians
In Ukraine, the official website of the National Price Catalog for Medicines has been launched. This new resource opens public access to information about regulated prices for medicines and aims to make pricing in the pharmaceutical sector more transparent. This is reported by Ukrinform.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine announced the launch of the catalog. The agency noted that the resource is primarily created for patients and consumers who want to understand how the cost of medicines is formed and what prices are deemed acceptable.
National Price Catalog for Medicines: What Information Can Be Found
The website contains detailed data on medicines whose prices are subject to state regulation. Specifically, the catalog provides information on:

the international and trade name of the medicine;

dosage form and dosage;

manufacturer, owner of the registration certificate, and country of origin;

pharmacotherapeutic group and registration number;

medicine category - prescription or over-the-counter;

declared wholesale price;
-
calculated maximum retail price considering markups and taxes.
It is also separately provided for the display of minimum prices for prescription medicines in the form of tablets and capsules.

The resource allows users to quickly find medicines by various criteria, utilize filters, and compare prices. For participants in the pharmaceutical market, the catalog also serves as a tool for analysis and structured data formation for further interaction with government authorities.
The National Price Catalog is formed and maintained by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the State Expert Center and is viewed as a key element of the transparent pricing system for medicines in Ukraine.
It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers has made decisions to reduce prices for medicines and ensure their accessibility, including changes to licensing conditions for the retail trade of medicines.
