According to media reports, the sum was raised through nearly 200 individual payments totaling over 154 million hryvnias. Yermak stated he does not know who paid the bail but acknowledged that many people contributed.

Yermak had been held in a paid cell, the cost of which was covered by his lawyer. By the evening of May 15, the required amount had been collected, but the full transfer could not be completed due to banks closing for the day. Notably, Yermak remained in custody over the weekend even after the bail was posted. The High Anti-Corruption Court had ordered his detention with the option of bail.

Yermak is suspected of laundering 460 million hryvnias in a case linked to the construction of a luxury cottage community in the village of Kozyn, Kyiv region. The funds are allegedly tied to corrupt schemes involving the state nuclear energy company Energoatom. Other suspects in the case include Oleksiy Chernyshov and Timur Mindich.

Upon his release, Yermak must comply with several conditions:

• Report to detectives, prosecutors, and the court as required;
• Not leave Kyiv without permission;

• Surrender all foreign passports;
• Wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.
