eRecovery: How to Get Compensation for Re-Damaged Housing

According to hvylya.net: The procedure for obtaining compensation under the eRecovery program through the 'Diia' app has been improved. Now owners of properties that have been re-damaged by shelling or attacks do not need to wait for the completion of repairs and the closure of their previous application to submit a new one.

'Previously, the owner of the damaged property had to complete repairs, submit a report, and wait for the closure of the previous application - only after that could they submit a new one. This delayed new payments. From now on, another application can be submitted immediately - simply by documenting the new damages' - explained the agency.

To use the new service, one needs to open the 'Repair Report' in the 'Diia' app for the previous application, which is already being processed, tick the 'Property was re-damaged' box, submit a new damage report, and a new compensation application. The commission will arrive on-site, record the new destructions, check the progress of repairs, calculate the amount of compensation, and close the previous application.

Conditions for Compensation

'A repeat application is possible only after the closure of the account to which funds were sent for the previous application. Information about the active account will be displayed in the system. If the funds in the account remain unused, they are automatically returned to the state budget. To receive new compensation, a new account must be opened' - noted the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.

As of today, nearly 145 thousand families have received compensation under the eRecovery program, totaling over 51 billion UAH. More than 116 thousand families have received funds for damaged housing amounting to 11.3 billion UAH.

It is more convenient and faster for users to receive compensation for damages through the 'Diia' mobile app, which allows them to submit a new application in case of re-damage to housing without waiting for the closure of the previous one. Additionally, it is important to remember about closing the account to enable the receipt of new compensation and the proper use of the funds received.
