FBI's Burning of Methamphetamine Poisoned Shelter Workers: Incident Details
A fire occurred at an animal shelter in Billings, Montana, due to the burning of two pounds of methamphetamine that had been confiscated by the FBI. Smoke from the drugs seeped back into the building, and several workers were hospitalized for poisoning. According to the shelter director, workers experienced severe headaches, sore throats, dizziness, sweating, and coughing. They had to spend several hours in an oxygen chamber, but some symptoms still persist. Four litters of kittens were also affected. A total of 14 workers and 75 animals were evacuated. An FBI representative confirmed the use of external objects to destroy the drugs but refused to comment on this case.
