According to Главком: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released fresh data on Russian occupation losses as of the morning of July 9, 2026. According to the report, total personnel losses for the Russian Federation have reached approximately 1,414,820, with 1,310 eliminated in the last 24 hours. This marks the 1,597th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine, highlighting the ongoing intensity of the conflict.

Equipment Destruction Details

Russia's equipment losses remain substantial. As of July 9, 2026, the following items have been destroyed:

  • 12,107 tanks (an increase of 7 from the previous report)
  • 24,906 armored combat vehicles (up by 3)
  • 45,628 artillery systems (59 of which were taken out in the last day)
  • 1,922 multiple launch rocket systems (added 4)
  • 1,479 air defense systems (up by 1)
  • 437 aircraft (+1)
  • 353 helicopters (no change)
  • 1,857 ground robotic complexes (+4)

Additionally, losses of operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicles have reached 398,763 units, with 1,843 destroyed over the past day. Cruise missile losses remain at 4,887, while the navy has suffered losses of 33 ships/boats and 2 submarines (unchanged). The tally also includes 117,910 vehicles and fuel tankers (+363) and 4,402 units of special equipment (+4).

Estimated financial losses for Russia in missile armaments and drones are as follows:

  • $14.66 billion for cruise missiles
  • $11.96 billion for UAVs
  • $13.11 billion for aircraft
  • $5.29 billion for helicopters
  • $30.27 billion for tanks
  • $68.44 billion for artillery systems
  • $14.94 billion for armored combat vehicles
  • $22.19 billion for air defense and electronic warfare systems
  • $1.98 billion for ships and boats
  • $600 million for submarines
“These estimates are approximate, as only the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine knows the precise breakdown by destroyed equipment modifications,” the General Staff reports.
