The Israeli Finance Minister announced the start of construction of a settlement in the Maale Adumim area, which could undermine the prospects for the creation of a Palestinian state. The E1 project, which is planned to be launched, could have serious consequences for the region. Israel's non-recognition of a Palestinian state intends to express itself factually rather than documentarily.
The UN has expressed concern over Israel's plans, stressing that forced relocation to the south will only deepen the humanitarian crisis. At the same time, the organization welcomed the resumption of access for humanitarian cargo: 'The UN and its partners will seize this opportunity,' said a spokesperson.
