Очікується, що до 2031 року кількість мільярдерів у світі сягне 4,000: хто опиниться на вершині списку найбагатших?

Billionaire Boom on the Horizon

According to Главком: Fresh projections indicate the global count of billionaires could climb to almost 4,000 by 2031. Currently, there are over 3,100 individuals with ten-figure fortunes. Analysts attribute this surge primarily to rapid technological advancements, especially in artificial intelligence. This same factor has also driven a sharp rise in the number of multimillionaires-those with assets exceeding $30 million. That group has swelled from roughly 160,000 to more than 700,000 in recent years.

At the same time, global inequality is worsening. Less than 0.001% of the world's population now controls three times as many resources as half of all humanity. Among the ultra-wealthy, Elon Musk stands out with a net worth exceeding $780 billion. Other top names include:

  • Google co-founder Larry Page;
  • Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

Wealth Shifts Eastward

Currently, North America hosts the largest concentration of billionaires, but forecasts suggest that by the 2030s, the epicenter of wealth may move to Asia. Ukraine also has a presence in the Forbes rankings: seven Ukrainians currently appear on the list of the world's richest people, with their combined wealth estimated at nearly $18 billion.

“The ability to generate massive fortunes quickly is higher today than ever before.” - analysts

These predictions point to major shifts in the global economic landscape, particularly regarding technological progress and its role in wealth accumulation. The growing number of billionaires and multimillionaires highlights the potential of emerging technologies, but also raises serious questions about social equity in resource distribution. The anticipated shift of wealth toward Asia could have far-reaching consequences for the global economy and politics, demanding new approaches to ensure fair allocation of benefits.
