A former law enforcement officer turned out to be not entirely law-abiding, sneaking conscripts into Moldova. According to the State Bureau of Investigations, he, together with an accomplice, offered one man 'escape services'. To avoid checks, their client had to leave the car and pass through checkpoints on foot, and then get back into the vehicle. As a result of this scheme, they managed to earn 14 thousand dollars.
As a result, the accomplice was caught during a currency exchange, and the former law enforcement officer in Kharkiv. Both have been charged with illegal transportation across the border of a foreign country. They currently face a high probability of punishment in the form of up to 9 years of imprisonment.
They were given a preventive measure in the form of detention, and their crime will be examined by the court. This case demonstrates that even former law enforcement officers can become involved in criminal activities and compromise morality for quick profit.
