The IMF believes that the situation with the Ukrainian economy is not so bad.

They say that Ukraine's debt is quite stable. This allows for the possibility of new loans. In total, the International Monetary Fund can allocate twenty-seven billion dollars to Ukraine. The funds will be paid over two years.

This was stated by the director of the IMF's European department, Reza Moghadam. He added that the exact amount of assistance will depend on how many more international creditors express their willingness to help. At the same time, IMF head Christine Lagarde announced that a decision on providing a loan to Kyiv could be made by the end of the month.

Reza Moghadam, director of the IMF European department:

- The external debt is only about thirty percent of GDP. It may rise to fifty percent over this and next year. Even considering various economic shocks, it is difficult to assume it will increase further.
