Outrage erupts after Kozlovskyi posts video of himself recovering via IV drips in the Carpathians
Vitaliy Kozlovskyi’s recovery video sparks backlash
According to Главком: Vitaliy Kozlovskyi, who was discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has stirred controversy by sharing a video of himself undergoing intravenous therapy in the Carpathian Mountains. The post drew sharp criticism from users on Threads, particularly from service members who reacted to his update.
Kozlovskyi served in the Ukrainian military after receiving a draft notice in 2023. He was initially assigned to the National Guard’s Rubizh brigade and later transferred to the National Presidential Orchestra. In 2024, he moved to the 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and from May of that year, he served as a reserve soldier in a reserve company. He was formally discharged in June 2024 due to family circumstances.
Threads users react with a mix of sarcasm and anger
Comments on his Threads video reveal a wide range of reactions. Some users asked pointed questions:
“Recovering from what, Vitaliy? From a serious injury on the front line, like my friends and acquaintances?”
Others chimed in with sarcastic remarks:
- “Soldier Vitaliy has fought enough-now it’s time to rest”
- “Thank you for your service”
At the same time, several users expressed shock and indignation:
“Oh my God, Vitaliy, don’t embarrass yourself. My work with wounded soldiers makes this heartbreaking: they’re afraid to even tell their families about their injuries to spare them worry. You got some IVs-what’s so terrible about that?”
Kozlovskyi was also previously involved in a scandal after performing in Moscow on May 9, 2018. This past incident, combined with his recent recovery post, has fueled further questions and public debate. The comments under his video continue to reflect divided opinions on his actions and the circumstances of his military service.
Overall, the controversy surrounding Kozlovskyi highlights the complex public perception of military service and recovery processes in Ukraine. It also underscores how strongly public opinion shapes discussions about veterans and their experiences. Amid ongoing war and widespread post-traumatic stress, reactions to military-related events can vary widely, as each person’s service background influences how society views their actions.
