The Kremlin on the negotiations in Geneva: there is no official information on the peace plan
Negotiations in Geneva: the Kremlin's position
The Kremlin has reported that Russia has no official information regarding the negotiations taking place in Geneva between Ukraine, the USA, and the EU concerning the peace plan. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that the Russian side has not received any information about the prepared document during consultations between Kyiv and Washington.
Peskov also noted that a meeting of representatives from Russia and the USA is not scheduled for this week. The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that it is not ready to make any compromises, which may indicate the complexity of the situation surrounding the peace settlement.
“We are closely monitoring the reports in the media, particularly from Geneva, but we have received nothing officially,” said Peskov.
He also added:
“This is impossible and inappropriate. We will only wait for the official results of the consultations between the USA and Ukraine.”
The situation around the peace plan
Thus, the Kremlin's position remains unchanged, in the absence of official information about the progress of the negotiations and readiness for compromises. The situation around the peace plan remains uncertain.
Russia's position in the context of the negotiations in Geneva demonstrates a lack of trust and readiness for constructive dialogue. While Ukraine, the USA, and the EU continue discussions on possible paths to peace, the Kremlin stresses the need for official communications, which may complicate further progress in resolving the conflict. Given this situation, the importance of diplomatic efforts and communications between the parties remains critical for achieving stability in the region.
