The Ministry of Defense has launched a drone rating system: the military can now evaluate the equipment
The weapon marketplace DOT-Chain Defence has implemented a ranking system: military personnel can now evaluate the ordered drones and leave feedback on their use in combat conditions.
According to the Ministry of Defense, this new option will help units make more informed choices - decisions will be based not only on technical characteristics but also on real combat experience.
'Every authorized user can rate on a five-point scale - from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). Reviews can highlight both advantages and disadvantages of drones, features of their use in field conditions, ease of operation, build quality, resistance to interference, and so on,' the department noted.
Currently, only military personnel can see the ratings. Later on, this opportunity will also be available to manufacturers. This will help them communicate directly with consumers and respond to soldiers' comments.
The rating system was added at the request of military personnel who were the first to participate in the pilot project. Overall, this is just the first step in a series of proposals received during visits to brigades and surveys of military personnel.
The introduction of the rating system in the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace will allow military users to assess weapon products more objectively and make informed decisions when choosing drones. It also encourages manufacturers to improve product quality and communication with customers. The implementation of this system is just the first step in the development of the marketplace and in response to the needs of the military in improving interaction and in choosing equipment for task execution.
