Restoration work after a missile-drone attack

As of 14:30, restoration work is ongoing in every affected region of Ukraine after a large-scale missile-drone attack on energy facilities. This was reported by

As a result of the situation, forced emergency shutdowns are currently being applied in Kyiv, Kyiv region, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipro, Donetsk, and Zaporizhia regions. Scheduled hourly shutdowns continue in Chernihiv region.

Strike on the energy system

Thanks to the conducted restoration work, energy workers managed to partially reduce the volume of emergency restrictions for consumers in Kharkiv region. Consumers in Cherkasy region have fully restored service.

Recall that on the night of October 10, the Russian Federation again carried out a large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure facilities. This strike occurred on the anniversary of the first shelling of the energy system, which the occupiers began in 2022.

According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, on the night, the Russian Federation launched an attack on the Ukrainian energy system with more than 450 drones and over 30 missiles.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga urged partners to respond to Russian strikes on critically important civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

After the massive missile-drone attack on energy facilities in Ukraine, restoration work is underway in the affected regions. Energy workers have managed to partially restore energy supply in some areas; however, some regions are still experiencing emergency shutdowns. The government calls on partners to respond to the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.
