Підвищення мінімальної зарплати в Польщі до 4806 злотих: як це вплине на мільйони працівників.

Changes in the minimum wage in Poland

From January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in Poland will increase to 4806 zlotys, which is 140 zlotys more than in 2025. This decision will impact about 3 million workers who earn at the minimum wage level.

The minimum monthly wage (gross) in 2025 was 4666 zlotys. Thanks to the new changes, the real income 'in hand' (net) for a full-time employee will amount to approximately 3606 zlotys. In addition, the minimum hourly rate will increase from 30.50 to 31.40 zlotys gross per hour. The night shift allowance will remain at approximately 6 zlotys per hour.

Impact on business and the economy

The changes will also affect businesses. In 2026, maintaining one employee on the 'minimum wage' will cost businesses nearly 5800 zlotys. Moreover, the new quarterly income limit for unregistered activities will be 225% of the minimum wage, equating to 10,813.50 zlotys over three months.

These changes in wages may have a significant impact on the labor market and the economy of Poland, as they will affect a large number of workers and enterprises.

The increase in the minimum wage is part of the overall strategy of the Polish government to improve working conditions and enhance the standard of living for the population.

Since most workers earning the minimum wage work in low-paying sectors, such changes could stimulate an increase in the overall competitiveness of the economy. However, businesses may face additional costs, which will require adaptation of business models and possibly an increase in prices for goods and services. This raises concerns about the potential impact on inflation and overall economic stability.
