Internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied territories will receive 2 million for housing: who is entitled to a voucher
The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development held a meeting with the joint forces of the ATO and the public to establish commissions that will resolve the issues of applicants for housing under the program for internally displaced persons (IDPs) from temporarily occupied territories. The event was successfully held under the leadership of Deputy Minister Natalia Kozlovska.
Currently, the housing program project is being tested for technical functionality with other parties. The acceptance of applications will start on December 1. Internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied territories who have special status as combatants or are persons with disabilities as a result of the war will be the first to benefit from the program.
In the first phase, applications can only be submitted via the mobile app 'Diia', and later applicants will be able to use the service through the Administrative Services Centers or notaries. The commissions will process applications based on the actual residence of the individual indicated in the IDP certificate.
During the meeting, the pace of commission creation and their readiness to work were discussed. Natalia Kozlovska instructed to expedite their formation and connection to the State Housing Assistance Registration Register. Furthermore, training for commissions on the updated functionality of the Register is planned.
Participants in the 'eRestoration' program can receive financial assistance for the purchase of new housing for individuals who left their homes in temporarily occupied territories. According to the program, there is no verification of the housing condition or ownership rights required, but information about property in the temporarily occupied territories must be indicated in the application.
The key condition for participation is the absence of any other housing on the controlled territory of Ukraine for the applicant and their family (spouse and minor children) and the absence of any previously received state housing assistance.
Support for refugees from the temporarily occupied territories consists of issuing vouchers worth 2 million UAH per person for the purchase of housing. Details regarding the program's operation will be explained by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development later.
As a result of the meeting, the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development announced the establishment of commissions to work with IDP applications within the housing program. Applications will be accepted starting December 1, and participants in the 'eRestoration' program will have the opportunity to receive financial assistance for the purchase of new housing. The Ministry emphasized support for those who have left their homes in temporarily occupied territories.
