Peace plan for Ukraine: the number of points has decreased after negotiations in Geneva
Negotiations in Geneva
The Ukrainian delegation returned from Geneva after negotiations with the American side and European partners, where the number of points in the peace plan for ending the war decreased from 28 to a smaller number. On November 24, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding the results of these negotiations, emphasizing that the new plan takes into account many important aspects.
Intensive negotiations between the Ukrainian and American delegations took place on November 23, 2025, in Geneva. It should be noted that on November 19, 2025, President of the United States Donald Trump approved a 28-point peace plan, setting a deadline of November 27, 2025, for its acceptance by Ukraine. However, according to new data, the 28-point plan in its original form no longer exists.
As of now, after Geneva, there are fewer points, no longer 28 points, and many correct aspects have been taken into account in this framework.

The president also emphasized that 'Ukraine will never be an obstacle to peace - this is our principle, a common principle.' He stressed the need to avoid missile attacks and widespread strikes on Ukraine and its citizens, reflecting a desire for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Coordinating talks with European partners
In addition, during the negotiations, coordinating talks were held with European partners, including the presidents of Finland and Lithuania, the president of the European Council, as well as the prime ministers of Norway and Spain. It is important to mention that more than 70 delegations from parliaments and international organizations participated in the parliamentary summit of the Crimean platform in Sweden, highlighting the broad international interest in the situation in Ukraine and the peace process.
The reduction in the number of points in the peace plan may indicate a gradual approach to a compromise in the negotiations between the parties. The importance of international consultations and the participation of European partners underscores the relevance of the Ukrainian issue on the international stage. Events in Geneva could be an important step towards achieving stability in the region; however, the further development of the situation will depend on the implementation of the agreements reached and the reaction of all interested parties.
