The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs have joined a joint program for the adaptation of veterans with visual impairments. The cooperation agreement has been signed, and the 'Restart' program is developing rapidly. The State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Inna Yashchuk, emphasized the successes of the project, which helps war participants adapt to new living conditions.
'Creating this program posed a great challenge, but we are already seeing results. The rehabilitation of project participants includes orientation training, working with gadgets, psychological support, and training to read using the Braille method,' - said Inna Yashchuk.
The 'Restart' project has already been successfully completed by 9 groups of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and now other participants of the law enforcement agencies can also benefit from it. The Ministry of Veterans Affairs also announced work on new programs and plans for the employment of veterans with visual impairments.
