According to glavcom.ua: Europe has maintained its reputation as a safe place for travel, as highlighted by a new report. The information was provided by Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection with reference to Euronews.
The report used data from the "Global Peace Index", Numbeo, and the average GeoSure Global rating for the largest cities in each country. Additionally, American travelers who visited certain countries in the last five years were surveyed.
Safest country for travelers in 2026
The most secure country for travel in 2026 is the Netherlands, which stood out due to high scores in the "Global Peace Index" and on Numbeo. The Hague and Eindhoven also made it to the top 12 in this ranking.
Travelers from the U.S. highly rated the Netherlands for its healthcare system, considering this country a safe destination for women, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals of various skin colors.
