Germany prepares war plan against Russia: 800 thousand NATO soldiers may be redeployed to the east
Germany's secret plan in case of war with Russia
Germany is developing a secret operational plan in case of war with Russia, which involves a logistical operation to redirect up to 800 thousand NATO troops to the east to the front line. This plan, known as OPLAN DEU, consists of 1200 pages and was developed by a team of 12 senior German officers over approximately 2.5 years.
Berlin intends to invest €166 billion by 2029 in infrastructure, of which over €100 billion will be directed to railways and dual-use infrastructure. The first version of the plan was drafted in March last year, and its development was led by Lieutenant General André Bodemann. Reports indicate that Russia could potentially be ready to take action against NATO by 2029, which underscores the relevance of this plan in the context of escalating relations between Moscow and NATO.
Investments in security and defense
The development of OPLAN DEU reflects Germany's serious approach to security issues amid rising tensions in Europe. Investments in infrastructure also indicate Berlin's intention to strengthen its defense capabilities and readiness for potential military conflicts.
In light of recent events, such initiatives may be crucial for NATO's collective security and stability in the region.
