Paris transferred 260 buses to Ukraine: the first 30 are already on the routes of Kyiv region
Transfer of buses for Ukraine
According to Главком: Paris has transferred 260 buses to Ukraine, of which the first 30 have already arrived in the Kyiv region and will be used in municipal transport services in several communities. This initiative has become an important step in restoring the transport infrastructure of the region, which has suffered significant losses during the war.
List of communities and bus technologies
In particular, 30 buses will operate on routes in:
- Bucha
- Brovary
- Bilaserkiv
- Vyshhorod
- Vyshneve
- Vasylkiv
- Boyarka communities
The new buses are equipped with modern technologies such as:
- electric ramps for passengers with reduced mobility
- surveillance cameras
- emergency response buttons
- validators for electronic tickets
- GPS trackers for route coordination
These buses arrived with a full set of spare parts, ensuring their uninterrupted operation. It is important to note that over a hundred buses were destroyed or severely damaged as a result of Russian attacks.
As Mykola Kalashnikov noted, 'the full-scale invasion inflicted significant losses on the transport sector of Kyiv region. These figures speak to the direct damage done to our communities, as well as how crucial current partner support is.'
This transfer of buses is part of a broader international support for Ukraine in its efforts to restore infrastructure and ensure public transport during wartime. Restoring the transport network is critically important for normalizing life in affected regions and for the economic recovery of the country. Involving modern technologies in the new buses will enhance safety and convenience for passengers, which is an important aspect in restoring confidence in public transport.
