'The coward in Moscow, who is afraid to meet with President Zelenskyy to end the war, continues to wage war against civilians.' Andrii Sybiha
Sybiha emphasized that he has called for appropriate and resolute responses, insisting on the need for 'crushing pressure on Moscow to stop this terror.' The minister stated there can be no pauses in tightening sanctions and isolating Russia, and the EU’s 21st package must be unblocked immediately. 'There can be no pauses in protecting lives,' he added, urging the swift delivery of additional interceptors without delay.
Sybiha also argued that 'there can be no pauses in our joint work to create European protection against ballistic terror.' He called for rapid progress on an anti-ballistic missile coalition and warned against any decisions that would 'whitewash Russia’s war crimes by restoring its rights in international sports competitions.' The minister stressed that 'the blood of Ukrainians is on the hands of sports bureaucrats who take such immoral steps,' and demanded that Ukraine be provided with all necessary means to stop Russia and end the war.
This attack on Kyiv is yet another sign of the escalating conflict between Ukraine and Russia, resulting in significant human and material losses. Andrii Sybiha’s appeals to the international community highlight the urgency of Ukraine’s situation and the need for Western allies to ramp up sanctions against Russia. How the international community responds to these events could significantly shape the conflict’s trajectory and regional security.
