Ukrainian soldiers may be deprived of payments: Defense Ministry has devised a 'pretext'

It is crucial to know that servicemen who are captured still receive monthly financial support, calculated according to their last salary. This applies to the time spent in captivity - payments begin from the moment of capture and continue until the serviceman is released.

'If we talk about a serviceman, then this is a voluntary surrender. If this is established, we will lose the financial support for the serviceman,' explained Lekontseva.

However, it is important to remember that if the fact of voluntary surrender is confirmed by an official document, then financial support will cease until the investigation is completed. Until then, payments will still be retained for the serviceman.

Thus, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense provides constant support to its servicemen, even if they fall into captivity. However, in the case of voluntary surrender, payment procedures are suspended until the investigation is completed.
