The Russian troops attacked the railway station in Shostka
On October 4, Russian troops struck the railway station in Shostka, Sumy region, with a drone. At the time of the attack, there was a train 'Shostka - Kyiv' at the station with passengers on board.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration Oleg Hryhorov reported this incident on social media. According to preliminary data, about 30 people were injured. Among the injured are both employees of Ukrzaliznytsia and passengers of the train. All the injured were taken to the hospital for medical assistance. All necessary services are already operating at the scene of the event.
'The Russians could not have been unaware that they were attacking civilians. And this is terrorism that the world has no right to ignore. Every day, Russia takes lives. Only strength can make them stop this,' wrote Volodymyr Zelensky.
Call to international partners
The President called on international partners to turn decisive statements into concrete actions. 'We have heard strong statements from Europe and America, and it is high time to turn them all into real steps. Together, together with all who do not consider murder and terrorism the norm. Words are not enough now. We need actions,' said the President.
The event in Shostka is another example of the aggressive actions of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine, requiring a response from the international community. Zelensky calls on world leaders to take strong measures to stop the violence.
