According to glavcom.ua: Today, July 4, St. Petersburg began preparing for a rare flood, while a hurricane is raging in the Omsk region. This is reported by the Ukrainian publication 'Glavkom', citing Russian media.
In St. Petersburg, the water has risen to such a level that the dam was urgently closed to protect the city. Some areas remained unprotected as the water unexpectedly surged into the city. Meteorologists predict that the water level may rise further, reaching 190 cm. Such flooding in July has occurred here for the first time since 1865.

Meanwhile, in the Omsk region, due to heavy rain and strong winds, people began to lose balconies. One woman was injured when a balcony collapsed.
'The strong wind caught the balcony slab and blew it away while the woman was standing on the first-floor balcony of a residential building on Hertzen Street,' the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported.
It should also be noted that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that drones attacked the city of Sergiev Posad in the Moscow region last night. As a result of the attack, a plant that produced military components for drones of the 'Shahed' type was damaged.
