Russia has lost the ability to launch people into space: accident at Baikonur
An accident occurred at the Baikonur cosmodrome after the launch of the Russian spacecraft 'Soyuz MS-28' - the service cabin collapsed. Parts of the launch pad fell onto site 31 on November 27, reports 'Glavcom'.
Cosmonautics promoter Vitaly Yegorov noted that during the broadcast of the 'Soyuz' spacecraft launch, an unusual metal structure was visible under the launch pad, likely a service balcony. This may lead to delays in the launches of spacecraft to the International Space Station.

Analyst Georgiy Trishkin noted that the possibility of launching crewed missions from Baikonur may be canceled for a while. 'Roscosmos' reported damage to the launch pad, but noted that there are backup elements for quick recovery.
French President Macron remarked that the aggressor country in space is Russia. He believes that conflicts could unfold in space as Russia conducts espionage activities in outer space.
As a result of the accident at the Baikonur cosmodrome, delays in the launches of spacecraft and crewed missions are possible.
